Dec 05 Fill It In…

Distance makes the heart… (enter your words here!)

Dave leaves today and journeys back to South Africa… while me and the kids remain stateside for a month more.

Deep Breath. Big Sigh. I hate goodbyes, even the temporary ones.

Distance makes the heart grow – achey.

A month – that’s an age.

South Africa in the summer.

Tell him to come back with Appletizer and fizzers. And sunshine.

Distance makes the heart grateful.

Grateful for all the things we don’t see when someone is around us every day. Growing gratitude in our hearts is so so important. You should consider keeping a list for Dave while you’re apart of all the things you’re grateful for in him as a husband and give it to him in 4 weeks.

burn like hellfire because we are not designed to be separated from our beloved(s). Seriously. What the honk? Oh, okay…just a minute while I compose my thoughts.

No…I still got nothing. I am sorry for the separation. I love and miss you and hope the days merge into one so you can come home soon.

XOXO

Thanks for thinking of me and my heart friends… I hate the time apart, but I think it is going to teach me to love my husband better. And Lord knows, I’ve got a lot to learn!

distance makes the heart grow. nothing more. just grow. distance has the potential to make you realize how much you love and how much more you can love. it helps to enlarge your tents and appreciate the little conveniences of being close instead of 9000 miles away while being creative in showing love 9000 miles away.
praying for you lots with this transition and sending a big hug your way…
