Sep 18 God's Whisper

I hopped into our truck solo, rolled down the windows, reminded myself to “stay left and shift with the left” and I headed to town. The majority of the drive is on small dirt roads that aren’t ideal for anything motorized, but they are drivable nonetheless (there is a paved road that is normally open for most of the trek, but it’s temporarily closed for construction). After about fifteen minutes of getting comfortable with my position in the car and on the road (stay left!!), I relaxed a bit and took in the scenery- the beauty of the mountains… and I breathed in a deep breath of South Africa. Suddenly I realized I was singing at the top of my lungs to nothing but the music of my heart… and I had one of those defining moments…and I heard God whisper to my heart… you were made for this.

I have to say that this post made me cry a little. For so many reasons. What a great moment.

Chewy… I would love to know the long-term plan for my life… but I’m taking it one day at a time… so, time will tell :)

Wow. That was big. So does that mean you aren’t thinking that you want to raise the kids in America with their family around? Don’t tell mom & dad yet.I don’t think they can handle that at this point. I got caught up on several of your blogs this afternoon. One of them said freezing rain. Uggg. I’m not ready for that yet. That has to be a big switch. How are the kiddos dealing with the cold-going from swimming at Poppy’s to freezing rain in a matter of a few weeks, that’s harsh. Almost forgot, love the zebra pictures. We saw some too, on Wednesday, however it was at the Columbus Zoo and we were not chasing them on a 4-wheeler. Silas’s zebra outing sounded more fun. Give hugs to my Silas & Alece. I’m sure she has changed already. :( ILY.

mmm. it’s awesome how those moments when God whispers so quietly but clearly can echo and resound in our hearts as if he were shouting. i am glad you are living your purpose.
